Q: I have installed everything and am certain that my license has been properly created with Bayalink but I still get a mesage like "WARNING: License does not seem properly configured" when Connecting to the Liberty Viewer. What could be wrong?

A: It is likely that you have not setup your TCP APN settings properly. Try the following steps:

1) setting Internet.com properly: (If you are on a CDMA network such as Telus or Bell this does not apply to you.)
- from your main screen on the BB find the wrench icon (options)
- go into options and then go into Advanced Options
- find TCP and go into that
- enter "internet.com" in the "APN" field (without the quotes)
- escape and SAVE.

NOTE: This is a carrier dependent setting so please check with your Carrier to confirm what your APN for browsing the Internet should be. If you are a BES / Enterprise user and can browse normally with your enterprise browser these steps will not hurt but will not likely solve the problem - in this case you should check with your systems administrator who manages your BES configuration.

2) granting permissions to the Liberty Application on the handheld:
- from your main screen on the BB find the wrench icon (options)
- go into options and then go into Advanced Options
- find Applications and go into that
- find Bayalink - Liberty (it may just show com_bayalink_bb on yours)
- make sure you have "Allow" for all three resources: Connections, Interactions, and User Data

Q: I am getting a 907 error when attempting to download the Bayalink Liberty application to my Handheld. What should I do?

A:

If you are a BES user try downloading the application using your Internet Browser /WAP Browser instead of the BlackBerry BES Browser.

Often if you just try again it works on subsequent tries.

If this does not work then send us an email to support@bayalink.com and we will work with you to resolve the problem.

Q: How do I create new PIN messages within Liberty

A: Select New Message and in the To field type the persons PIN Number. Note this field accepts both email addresses and PIN numbers.
(but not both at the same time)

Q: When I try to run the liberty on my laptop I get the following error: “The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application”. What should I do?

A: To resolve this problem you need to download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0. You can download the framework here.

Q: Why does the Bayalink Liberty Solution require local administrator rights to install the USB driver?

A: Windows (XP\Vista) only allows administrator accounts to install plug and play drivers.

The Bayalink Liberty solution requires the installation of a driver for the operation of the USB Bluetooth
    enabled Liberty Key.

The administrative permissions requirement is limited to the installation of the USB driver. The installation
can be performed by a Windows Administrator or by a user who has been temporarily assigned Local
Administrator priviledges. Once the USB driver is installed the administration permissions can be removed
in the case of temporary priviledges. With the USB Driver installed, future Bayalink Liberty users will not be
prompted to install the USB driver again.
